Pull out your wallets! Disney fans will be excited to hear that a large collection of original art from Walt Disney Studios will soon be available for purchase at public auction. The movie memorabilia auction titled “An Important Animation Art Collection, The Property of a Gentleman” will be presented in New York City on June 5 by Bonhams Fine Art Auctioneers and Turner Classic Movies.

The auction will include over 290 original Disney memorabilia pieces amassed by a single private collector. The collection includes drawings, storyboards, posters, concept art and celluloids. It took over 25 years to collect these pieces. Acquired from other auctions and dealers, this memorabilia represents over 60 years of Disney animation.

The artwork includes beloved characters like Cinderella, Pinocchio, Bambi, and Mickey Mouse. Some of these pieces are extremely valuable. For example, a celluloid of Snow White has been estimated to be worth between $25,000 and $30,000.

A Bonhams representative told ABC News that the collection was being released as the previous owner wanted to share Disney’s work with the next generation. The collection will be on preview at Bonhams Los Angeles from May 19-21 and then at Bonhams New York from June 2 -5.
