2-year-old Kenzo Brooks had a magical moment while watching Encanto over the holidays, when he realized the youngest Madrigal, Antonio, looked just like him! Kenzo and his parents Keith Brooks and Kaheisha Brand shared their experience with Good Morning America, with Keith sharing his own reaction to his son, telling GMA:
“My initial reaction was I remember we first see him turn back and look at us and we were like, ‘Whoa,’ it just took us aback. I said, ‘Does he notice this looks like him?’ And just to see his reaction afterwards as he sat down on the floor and just tuned in as you can see in that video — he just also clapped. And that photo you saw where he’s standing next to the character, Antonio, it was just extremely like off guard like we caught it and we captured that moment and it was amazing.“

As a special treat for Kenzo and his family, GMA, and parent company Disney, worked their magic to give them an all expenses paid 3 night/4 day trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL! We love seeing Disney Fans feel represented in film and television and hope to see more examples of representation in media for years to come.
