Cruising is a completely different vacation experience. Instead of being frightened by the possibility of something new, you should embrace all the wonderful experiences that Disney Cruise Line has to offer.
Even DCL itself knows that you’re nervous about cruising and they’ve provided their top 15 reasons why you’ll love cruising!
- Have as much (or as little) family together time as you want
- The kids can’t get lost
- Everyone eats dinner together
- There is no packing and unpacking every few days
- Your beds are made every morning and turned down every night
- Staff members will get to know you by name-and often anticipate what you want before you ask for it
- There are activities for every age group-and some ships even offer babysitting services
- No actual cash is needed-and you can decide if the kids can have charging privileges
- Eat all the food you want and work it off by taking the stairs
- Get as dressed up-or dressed down as you want
- Meet people from all over the world
- Grownups can get alone time while the kids are having their own supervised fun
- See some of the most beautiful places on the planet that other transportation can’t easily reach
- And…each day breaks down to less than $85 a person (for adults) on average
Cruise for less than ever before with a guaranteed verandah stateroom with restrictions. These great rates are available for sailings on the Disney Dream on select dates November through January. Rates are $630 per person (based on double occupancy).

Sarah-If you are looking at the Dream or Fantasy the 2013 itineraries are already out and I’d recommend getting your deposit down ASAP. The prices will most likely raise as time goes on but if you book now you’re locked in at the low rate. Availability on DCL is no joke…it can change instantaneously so don’t think it’s too early to book!
Becky-Tell them if they book their next cruise while onboard there are booking incentives. Usually it’s only having to pay 10% of the deposit and a shipboard credit. You can also “modify” that reservation as much as you want and not lose the incentive. So book for any date (if you don’t know which travel date works for you at the time) and then change it later. Just make sure you MODIFY your reservation and don’t cancel it!
Annette….There is a Kids Sail Free offer to the Mexican Riviera for January 8th through March 4th…let me know if you want a quote. For large families traveling with kids especially this is a great deal! You just can’t beat free!

My family of 5 are really wanting to go on a Disney Cruise, but we haven’t had the money to do it yet. We are saving up to go to Walt Disney World next July tho…can’t wait! I am the only 1 of us who has ever been to Disney World and that was over 18 yrs ago!
My cousin had barely arrived home from their first DCL cruise when her husband was booking their second one.
I really want to try and do a DCL cruise. I hope I can talk my husband into it one time.
I am dying to vacation on DCL!!!!!! Maybe 2013 🙂
I was lucky enough to go on a Disney Cruise last fall-best vacation of my life!!
