The 8th Annual “World’s Largest Swim Lesson” is coming to the water parks of Disney World just in time for the official start of summer!
The “World’s Largest Swim Lesson” is an annual event held at an estimated 500 water parks, pools, and other aquatic facilities around the world. This year’s even will be held on Thursday, June 22. Two of the facilities hosting the event this year will be Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World. In addition to your favorite Disney Water Parks hosting the event this year, the event will be also held in 20 different countries and on five different. Organizers estimate that 195,000 children and adults have participated in the even since it’s inception in 2010.
The event is designed to bring awareness to the importance of swims lessons for children to prevent drowning.
