It’s the holiday season which means lots of yummy goodies and Walt Disney World is the place to find them! Let’s take a look at some of the delicious chocolate and peppermint-flavored treats available at the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
Let’s start our sugar adventure in EPCOT, you can find Holiday Tree Sprinkled Sugar Cookies with green icing and sprinkles at Electric Umbrella and Liberty Inn has their own Candy Cane Jeweled Sugar Cookies to try too. Both cookies are available for $3.79. Make sure to pair them with some premium hot chocolate for a delicious snack. Also, stop by Sunshine Seasons for their brand-new holiday cupcake (photo above). Priced at $5.99, the Seasons Greetings Holiday Cupcake is a cinnamon vanilla swirl cupcake with vanilla buttercream “icicles”.
Heading over to World Showcase, the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafé at the Norway pavilion is giving you a chance to try their traditional Norwegian confection called Kransekake. Usually served at both Christmas and weddings, this amazing tower shown above is actually made of individual cookie layers.
The cookies are flavored with almond paste and hand-decorated with white or chocolate icing.
Let’s head over to the Magic Kingdom and check out the salted pretzel filled with caramel at The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland. Priced at $5.79, this heavenly snack can also be topped with red and green fondant and served with chocolate sauce.
As an added surprise, guests can now purchase the Sandy Claws Push-Cake Pop ($4.99) all day at multiple quick service locations around the park. Previously you could only enjoy this treat during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Its layers include orange vanilla cake, cranberry cherry mousse, white crispy pearls, cream cheese buttercream, and topped with holiday sprinkles and a Sandy Claws made of white chocolate.
Making our way over to Frontierland, you can stop into Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe for some holiday Mini Churros for $5.49. They are dusted with festive red and green cinnamon sugar and served with a chocolate dipping sauce.
Time to circle back around to Main Street U.S.A. where you can find a special holiday ornament brownie at Casey’s Corner for $4.29. These adorable desserts are decorated with green and red frosting and might be too cute to eat! Make sure you get your peppermint fix too! Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland has a vanilla gelato with peppermint sparkles for $3.99. The Plaza Restaurant on Main Street has an All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Milk Shake for $9.00. The featured flavor this month is a peppermint milkshake with raspberry sauce, whipped cream and a cherry on top. Also on Main Street, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor will also be scooping up a Peppermint Sundae, served in a waffle bowl with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, a cherry and peppermint candy cane sprinkles.
Last but definitely not least, Main Street Bakery has two new must-try cupcakes. A white chocolate Lightning McQueen sits atop a chocolate cupcake filled with peanut butter mousse and topped with mocha buttercream and sprinkled with chocolate curls. Our favorite couple has their own delicious yellow cupcake filled with strawberry mousse and topped with raspberry buttercream, strawberry crispy pearls and a white chocolate Mickey and Minnie heart.
