next cruise

Even before my family took our first Disney Cruise this past August we already had another booked because we knew it was going to be that amazing. Well, Disney always goes above and beyond what I expect, not only what I expect from other, but always what I have come to expect from the Disney company. Disney Cruise Line is amazing and does not disappoint. With that in mind, here are the top ten reasons I’m looking forward to my next Disney cruise.

  1. Pirate Night – My family’s first cruise was to Alaska, and it was an absolutely amazing experience and I hope to do it again someday, but there is no pirate night on Alaska cruises. With our next cruise being to the Bahamas pirate night is a definite and I’m excited to experience it. The deck party, the fireworks, and the food are all calling my name.
  1. Dressing Up – I am not at all a girly-girl and normally I really dislike dressing up. I only dress up when I have to. However, I actually really enjoyed dressing up on our first cruise. I like that our whole family, including our one year old son, were all dressed up and looking good on the two dress up nights. One of the things that I really like about Disney Cruise Line is that it is not like other cruises were everyone has to dress up for dinner every night. There are one to two dress up nights per cruise and they give you the opportunity to dress up and feel special.
  1. A New Ship – I loved exploring the Disney Wonder – it was a great ship with so much to see and do. Now I’m excited to get to be able to explore the Disney Magic! There are new places to find and new themes and dining experience to enjoy.
  1. Castaway CayCastaway Cay is Disney Cruise Line’s private island and I’m looking forward to it because I’ve never been there before. There is so much to see and do – you can relax on the beach or you can go for a run. You can just do your own thing or you can sign up for an excursion. You can even mail yourself something back from the post office on the island with a Castaway Cay post mark. Dining on Castaway Cay is also included in the cruise fare, so dig in and enjoy!
  1. All That’s Included – So much is include in the cruise fare and that’s one of the reasons I love Disney Cruise Line. Not only is your stay on the ship, or your stateroom, included, but so is all of your main and quick service dining, most things on the room service menu, and drinks that are non-alcoholic. Onboard entertainment, like the Broadway style shows, movies, and character meet and greets are also included. Lastly, the kid’s clubs are all included, too!
  1. Characters – One of my favorite things to do on my last cruise was to meet characters – they are literally everywhere on the ship. I loved being able to meet characters with minimal wait on my last cruise and I look forward to being able to do it again!
  1. Food – I love Disney food and the food aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships is, well amazing. There is so much variety, all of which is delicious. For breakfast, lunch and dinner you can enjoy a sit down or quick service meal, a buffet, or room service. You can get snacks from room service, the quick service locations, or ice cream on the pool deck. For the adults there are also lounges and signature dining. You can get something to eat literally any time 24 hours a day, and no matter what you get you will not be disappointed with it. I can’t wait to dig into some more Disney Cruise Line food.
  1. Relaxation – I am definitely looking forward to being able to sit back and relax! That’s what cruises are all about, right? Whether it’s on deck or on my verandah I will be letting all my cares float away and just enjoying each moment.
  1. Service – As mentioned earlier, Disney is known for their service and they go above and beyond. From the captain to the maintenance staff and everyone in between – the kid’s club cast members, the dining room service teams, the stateroom hosts, everyone on the entire ship is amazing! They will do whatever it takes to make it so that you have a memorable cruise. I can’t wait to experience this again.
  1. Magic – Disney is known for Magic! I’m looking forward to the Disney magic of the whole experience – characters, service, the little Disney touches like hidden Mickeys and themes. I’m just looking forward to it all.
