1. New Star Wars-Inspired Experiences at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Travel to a galaxy far, far away with new Star Wars-inspired experiences including an updated Star Tours, Launch Bay and Character Meet and Greets.
2. Soarin’ Around the World at Epcot: In 2016, a whole new Soarin’ journey awaits when Soarin’ Around the World opens at The Land Pavilion in Epcot. This attraction is currently undergoing refurbishment.
3. New Food & Beverage Offerings: Discover new food and beverage locations, including Jungle Skipper Canteen at Magic Kingdom Park, Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and a newly remodeled Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom Park.
4. “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Fireworks”: End you day in a galaxy far, far away with an epic firework finale bursting with Star Wars music and magic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And don’t forget to check out the Galactic Dessert Party as well!
5. Club Villain at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Beginning Jan. 16, 2016, grown-up guests can enjoy a frightfully fun dance-and-dine event at Sunset Showcase hosted by Dr. Facilier and his evil-diva cohosts.
6. Experience The Magic of Nature with “Rivers of Light”: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will come alive at night with the new Rivers of Light show, an innovative new show featuring floating lanterns, water screens and swirling animal imagery.
7. Explore Kilimanjaro Safaris After Sunset: You’ll be able to travel through the African savanna amid the orange glow of the setting sun when Kilimanjaro Safaris expands operating hours this spring at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
8. The Invictus Games at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex: The Invictus Games, celebrating our wounded servicemen and women from around the world as they compete in a variety of sports, will come to the United States for the first time ever at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex May 8-12, 2016
9. Spring Blooms at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival: Enjoy dazzling gardens, high-energy entertainment, family fun and more when the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival returns March 2-May 30, 2016. With food booths exhibits and more this is a can’t miss annual event!
10. Discover “Frozen” Ever After and a New “Frozen” Character Greeting at Epcot: The new “Frozen”- inspired attraction, which will transport you to the Winter in Summer Celebration, Elsa’s Ice Palace and the Bay of Arendelle, will open its doors at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot this spring. Plus, also this spring at Epcot, Guests can meet royal sisters, Anna and Elsa, at a new dedicated character greeting.
11.Experience New Foods and Beverages this Fall: The International Food & Wine Festival at Epcot is a favorite fall event and something that draws repeat visitors year after year. From exhibits to concerts to amazing dining opportunities this event is a can’t miss!
12. A Not So Scary Experience Awaits: Magic Kingdom transforms for the fall and it is a sight to see. Add to the the annual Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and nothing beats this fun event!
13. Celebrate the Holiday Season: ‘Tis the season to be jolly with the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Candlelight Processional at Walt Disney World Resort! I know we JUST packed away the last of our holiday decorations but it’s never too soon to think about the holidays at Walt Disney World.
14. New Offerings at Disney Springs: Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort will continue to grow in 2016 with new eateries, like STK Orlando, as well as the opening of Town Center – featuring a variety of retail locations, including Zara, Lily Pulitzer, UGG, UNIQLO and more.
15. Seasonal Character Dining Experiences: Hollywood and Vine is adding a bit of character to their dinner offerings. Minnie’s Seasonal Dining kicked off during the 2015 holiday season and will continue through 2016.
16. The Same Magic that Has Been Delighting Guests for 45 Years: Magic Kingdom turns 45 on October 1st of this year. The same thrills, enjoyment and magic that were present on opening day can still be felt throughout the entire resort today. Now is the perfect time to experience that for yourself!
