Starting Today All MagicBands Sold as "Link it Later" Cast Members Will No Longer Link Bands at Register

A big change is here for guests that purchase MagicBands on site at Disney World.

Starting today all MagicBands that guests purchase will be sold as “link it later”. Having guests link the bands themselves will no doubt make life easier for Cast Members and prevent lines from backing up at the registers.

#MagicBands ALL come "Link It Later" as of today. Cast Members no longer have deal with setting them that way at the register. HUGE change.

Having Cast Members link bands at the register was pretty convenient for guests on the move in the parks. However, the DIY “Link it Later” process is quite easy and can be done quickly by signing on to your My Disney Experience account from any smartphone.
