For those lucky enough to be visiting Pandora – The World of Avatar on Opening Day (tomorrow May 27th) you’re in for a very special treat as Disney will be releasing a line of special commemorative merchandise that will only be available to guests visiting on the day.
Guests looking to bring home a special limited-edition souvenirs will be spoiled for choice as the line includes t-shirts, hats, water bottles and more, all featuring artwork specially created for Opening Day.
There will also be three commemorative MagicBands issued. There’s a limited edition (only 2000 made) purple MagicBand which features bioluminescent artwork as well as a blue open edition retail MagicBand. Annual Passholders visiting tomorrow may want to treat themselves a teal limited edition MagicBand that also features the phrase “I traveled to Pandora on May 27, 2017”. There will be 5,000 of the AP MagicBands available for purchase.
Pin collectors visiting on Opening Day are also in luck as there will be a five-pin limited edition opening day pin set available for purchase. Dubbed the Countdown to Pandora Collection, each of the five pins depicts a beautiful travel poster from Alpha Centauri Expeditions. The artwork for these pieces comes directly from Dylan Cole, Co-Production Designer for the upcoming Avatar sequels. The pins will have an edition size of only 5,000.
Can’t make it to Pandora on Opening Day? You can still get in on the fun merchandise. The Disney Parks section of DisneyStore.com will be offering commemorative t-shirts available for purchase online between May 24 – June 7.
