The year is 2125 and the Magellan Science Academy has given two lucky cadets special
Thulium tickets to join a team of space explorers on an exciting time-travel mission twenty-four
hours into the future. But when their mission goes unexpectedly wrong, the two kids must band
together with a tiny flying saucer sidekick to save themselves, their crew, and all of Space
Mountain–before time runs out and the galaxy is destroyed!

Space Mountain is a fast paced beautiful adventure of epic proportions. The first thing that drew me into this book and it’s amazing world was the really cool colorful cover. You can practically see the action jumping off the cover which intrigued me to want to read the graphic novel even more. If you look at the cover carefully the building might seem familiar. That’s because the building and part of the book is based off of the very popular ride Space Mountain in the Disney Parks.

A good majority of the book is based off of not only the ride but tomorrow land itself. If you love that particular part of the Disney Parks then you will love this novel and the storyline behind it. Also on the cover is a small 5 star review in the form of a quote from popular Kingdom Keepers author Ridley Pearson which if you’re me and obsessed with his books means a lot! You might also catch a small review on the back from some more of your favorite authors.
Beyond the cover is a story about two kids and their journey to save the present from the effects of the past. Stella and Tommy are two totally different characters yet they both bring so much to the table. Stella is a smart young girl who loves to read and knows everything there is to know… or at least she thinks she does. Tommy knows everything there is to know about electronics and even though he might be a bit of a troublemaker he means the best in everything he does.
There are also some pretty cool supporting characters like Captain Cole and Anne Krell who add a bit of mystery to the story. Through these great color illustrations in the book the story leaps right off the page and you’re sucked in to the world these kids are trying to save. Through everything they stick together and show that kids can be counted on to do great things as well. That’s the one thing I love about the story, that these kids save the entire universe all by themselves with just a little help from a flying saucer named Artie.
Be on the lookout for some BIG plot twist at the end of the book! I won’t give it away but I will tell you it sets the story up for an amazing sequel that will probably blow your socks off! Also lookout for a cute little look at the stages of illustration in the back of the book which if you’re like me excites you to no end. Overall this story is sweet, fun and a nice quick fun read. I highly recommend it to everyone to read no matter your age! Pick the book up on May 6th in stores and get ready for a high flying adventure!
