SeaWorld's Seven Seas Food Festival 2018 Photo Tour Review

SeaWorld Orlando hosted a Preview Night for their annual Seven Seas Food Festival.  With many new Specialty Eats and Cocktails featured from around the World, 2018 is shaping up to be a fabulous year for this popular Event.

Here is our Photo Tour Review of SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival 2018 Preview.

Executive Chef Hector Colon and his Team have outdone themselves with this year’s Market options.  Be sure to pick up a Seven Seas Food Festival 2018 Event Guide to Plan your day as there are so many amazing food plates, desserts and drinks to choose from!

The Asian Market offerings include Sapporo Craft Brew, Frozen Lagoon Punch with Blue Lychee Liqueur, Sparkling Pear Non-alcoholic, Skewered Pork Wrapped in Bacon, Peking Duck Lo Mein, Char Siu Bao, and Kimchi Taco with Cauliflower Rice.  Our favorites here were the Frozen Lagoon Punch and the Skewered Pork Wrapped in Bacon.  If you are looking for a really fun dessert you must try the Bingsu Salted Vanilla Ice Cream.

The Courtyard featured some of Executive Chef Hector Colon’s favorite dishes.  Seafood Ceviche has an interesting combination of citrus flavors and can be found at the Caribbean Market.  Key Lime Martini, located at Florida Market, is sweet and tart making for a lovely dessert option.  The Lobster Roll was one of our favorite bites of the evening and can be found at North Atlantic Market.  Since one of us is from New England, we asked Chef Hector where he gets his Lobster for this dish.  His response, “Why Maine of course!”  Now that is what we are talking about.  This Lobster Roll is the real deal featuring just the right amount of mayo along with its buttered and toasted roll.

The Caribbean Market is serving Crab Cakes, a Caribbean Sunset Frozen Beverage and one of our favorite bites; the Cinnamon Slow Roasted Pork Belly with Sweet Plantain Mash.

Stop by the Florida Market for an interesting bite of Wild Boar Smoked Cheddar Sausage, Conch Fritters or the infamous Shrim Mac & Cheese.  We strongly recommend the Frozen Dreamsicle with Whipped Cream Vodka, Orange Juice, and Triple Sec.  This Specialty Cocktail tastes even better than it looks and was amongst our favorites!

North Atlantic Market has two new offerings this year:  Sweet Corn & Cheddar Hushpuppies and Grilled Tostada with Vegetable Spread.  Returning by popular demand are the New England Lobster Roll and Grilled Venison Sausage Slider.

Pacific Coast Market has an all-new menu this year.  Featuring a Deconstructed California Roll, Fried Calamari and a Crispy Fish Taco, this Market is the place to be for Seafood options.  Pacific Coast Market is shaking things up at the Seven Seas Food Festival 2018.

German Market offers a new Pretzel Wrapped Bratwurst and a very interesting take on a dessert pretzel with the Chocolate Dipped Footlong Pretzel.

Polynesian Market has added three new taste bites to their menu with the Lumpia, the Pineapple Tofu Poke Bowl, and the Aloha Mixed Plate.  We were thrilled to see that they are offering the very popular Hawaiian Pineapple Dream Cake again this year.  Not too sweet and purely delicious!

The lovely Cheese Grits & Shrimp Casserole has returned to Gulf Coast Market this year and it is just as good this year.   Also being served are the Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, the new Shrimp Po Boy, and the all-new Bread Pudding.

Our Favorite bite of the evening was the Bacon Wrapped Sweet Plantain available at Brazilian Market.  While there are many new foods to choose from, this was our top favorite item.

As you meander through the Park, you will find pop-up kiosks featuring Craft Brews, Wines and Specialty Cocktails.  There is a lot to choose from so this adventure may take a bit of planning.

Special Thanks to Becca, Brandon, Executive Chef Hector Colon and the rest of the SeaWorld Orlando Team for a fun and interactive evening enjoying new foods and beverages.

The best way to explore SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival 2018 is with a Food & Beverage Sampling Lanyard.  Choose from 5, 8 or 15 Samplings.  Your appetite will determine the best option for your individual preferences.  The Seven Seas Food Festival 2018 will be offered weekends from February 17th through April 15th.  With all of the new offerings for this Festival, 2018 is definitely the year to be here.
