Lori Blumenstock, creator of Your Fairy Godmother, gave some background on her inspiration for the company. “While searching for costumes to wear, everything I was drawn to for my daughter cost hundreds of dollars. There was one dress in particular that I fell in love with, but with a price tag of over $300, I couldn’t imagine paying so much for a children’s costume that she would likely only wear one time.”
Rental prices start at $30. A few of the costumes for little girls include Belle, Cinderella, Anna, Mary Poppins, and Elsa. The boys aren’t left out and can choose from The Beast, Bert, Kristoff, Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, and Prince Charming.
The dresses are all lined in satin so little legs won’t get irritated as the day continues. All designers or seamstresses that My Fairy Godmother purchase from are all based in the United States.
