Our culinary tour of Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa continues with a look at one of our favorite treats on property, the amazing Pork Nachos being served up at The ‘Ōlelo Room. Open from 5-7 the lounge offers a range of cool starters, hot plates and delightful island cocktails.
This lovely nacho dish is perfect for sharing and comes in at $9. It is comprised of tender Kalua Pork, Taro Chips, Fire-roasted Pineapple Salsa and Poi Sour Cream. They go wonderfully with a wide array of beers and wines on offer as well as an eclectic cocktail menu offering tropical libations like the Coconut Mojito and the Crushed Pineapple Mule.
Guests staying at Aulani, will definitely want to take some time to kick back and relax at this wonderful watering hole. ‘Ōlelo takes its name from the Hawaiian word for “to converse” and the lounge celebrates the Hawaiian language. A highlight of the decor is the wooden carvings of common objects with labels that coney their Hawaiian names. The friendly bartenders are all fluent in the Hawaiian language and are happy to teach you some common Hawaiian words and phrases. ‘Ōlelo also offers live Hawaiian music performed each night on the patio (weather permitting).
The lounge is located on the first floor of the main building next to Makahiki. The outdoor patio looks out onto a beautiful koi pond near the Waikolohe Valley pool area.
