Toy Story Mania is located at Pixar Place in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This interactive, one of a kind attraction is truly one of the most popular in all of Walt Disney World Resort. This ride, created simultaneously for Disney World and Disneyland, is a one of a kind attraction utilizing technology from throughout the parks. Think of the ride vehicle as being similar to those in Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, but you will be wearing 3D glasses similar to those in Mickey’s Philharmagic and Star Tours. The theme here is Midway Carnival Games and you will find yourself participating in 5 different games as you head through.
- Try to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at park opening to secure a Fastpass for Toy Story Mania. This would be a great time to ride stand by as well, as wait times will only increase during the day. Average wait times can be well over 90 minutes.
- The theming of the queue is one of the best on property. As soon as you enter, you’ll know you’re in a child’s toy room.
- The audio animatronic Mr. Potato Head is there to entertain you while you pass by to board your vehicle. Vehicles hold four people.
- You’ll receive 3D glasses to wear while having a rootin’ tootin’ good time in the carnival game.
- Each carnival game is 30 seconds long, and the whole experience lasts 5 minutes.
- This attraction does have customized vehicles for special needs guests.
- There is no height requirement for Toy Story Mania.
As soon as you enter the queue, you’ll know this is a ride worth waiting for! Be prepared in line with a snack, drink, and maybe some electronic entertainment for the kids. Also, make sure you use the restroom before getting in line! You’ll love being the honorary toy in Andy’s toy box as you spin through the carnival style games!
Perfect for all ages! Make sure to get there at opening or have a Fastpass… or both!
Adults and kids alike love this ride! We run to this ride when the park opens to not have to wait! This our fastpass is definitely the way to go to make it more enjoyable 🙂
Love this ride. Fastpass is the way to go though!
definitely worth the wait
We love, love, love this ride! The queue is a blast!
Maybe the most popular ride in all of Disney World. If you want to ride it multiple times, get there at rope drop and ride it then and get a fastpass. If you arrive a couple hours after the park opens, good luck getting a fastpass return time that isn’t really late in the evening (or one at all). We purchased Toy Story Mania for the Nintendo Wii and it has several of the same challenges that we can play at home. Lots of county fair type challenges (i.e. popping a balloon or shooting plates)
Our whole family loves this ride. It always brings out the competitive side of us all.
Our family definitely picks this ride as one of our favorites! If we could just ride it all day we totally would. 🙂 Definitely one of the rides that you need to get at right at opening or at least get a Fastpass. That way you don’t have to wait very long (but even then it’s worth the wait!).
We LOVE this ride! What we don’t love is the stand-by wait time that is always ridiculously long. And the fastpasses are always gone EARLY. Even the times that we’ve been there early enough, at least twice it has been down so they haven’t allowed fastpasses, and then by the time we get back over there, they’re all gone.
such a fun ride! I wish the lines were real low when we go later this year so we could keep playing!
