Bonjour! It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that I bring you news from the latest addition to the France Pavilion in Epcot, L’Artisan des Glaces Sorbet and Ice Cream Shop. With many recent renovations, much of the France Pavilion has been under construction for some time now.
When you visit the shop, the first thing you notice is the decor. This location is impressive. From the moment you approach the shop, you are immediately transported to an ice cream shop in Paris. Once inside, you notice all of the little details, from the glass milk jar chandelier to the wire baskets of eggs. Disney always does a terrific job at creating amazing theming, and this location proved to be no exception. The charming atmosphere will appeal to guests young and old.
The shop serves both ice cream and sorbet. The flavors include:
Ice Cream:
- Vanilla
- Chocolate
- Mint Chocolate
- Pistachio
- Hazelnut
- Profiterole
- Caramel Fleur de Sel
- Cherry
- Coco-White Chocolate
- Coffee
Sorbet:
- Strawberry
- Mango
- Melon
- Lemon
- Pomegranate
- Mixed Berries
The prices for ice cream and sorbet are grouped by scoop choices. A single scoop is $3.99 and two scoops are $6.10. If you’re feeling a little adventurous, you can opt for an adult version of the ice cream or sorbet by adding a shot of Grand Marnier, Whipped Cream Vodka, or Rum for $11.50. This would make for an excellent spot for those participating in a Drink around the World excursion.
When ordering, guests pay for their choice of scoops at the cashier and then move to a serving station. There guests choose either a cone or a cup. Then it’s time to pick the flavors! There is not indoor seating at this location which means outside seating is premium and often difficult to get.
Overall, we give the L’Artisans de Glace an “A”.
