Hope you guys are buckled tight because things are about to get bumpy.
As promised this will be my review for this weeks PLL. Now i know what you guys are thinking why is she doing a review on this episode? Well for one it is the first episode written and directed by Marlene King the creator of the show so congrats to her! Also this episode is full of creepy odd turns no one will see coming so i figured why not?
The firs thing that jumped out at me was Mona and Toby together as in the CAVE OF ALL -A EVILNESS. Mona i was right about you ( 1 point me!). She obviously hasn’t changed at all of course she’s still A i mean did anyone really think she wasn’t? So they’re planning something and we learn something important Mona isn’t calling the shots here and she says SHE is leading me to assume the head of this evil creation will in fact be well a she. Mona puts on her crazy black hoodie calls Spencer some choice words and we move on to the next scene. Toby in his apartment again with the bipolar acts… We go from plotting evilness to talking to Emily about Lord Of The Flies. Which brings me to my next point the book Lord Of The Flies which i have read.. There are many similarities in the book and this show i think we just have to look for them. The girls feel like they are stranded on an island A island to be exact.
We move to Hanna asking Caleb what she should wear why she’s asking her hoodie wearing boyfriend i really don’t know but i think he makes that pretty clear with his answer. When Hanna goes to the other room he is taking on the phone but to who? And why are they meeting up? Why is he keeping it a secret from Hanna? Now to Spencer planning a 1 year anniversary dinner for her and Toby poor girl. There’s a hole in Toby’s pants now that may seem insignificant but remember this piece of information for later. Also keep in mind he thinks Spencer will be out-of-town that night since she is surprising him. Then we move to school where Hanna begs Emily to follow Caleb after school because nothing bad can come of that. Turns out he’s meeting Paige which obviously means no harm. So Caleb your out of the red…for now. Now have i mentioned that Meredith is taking care of Aria who is sick with the flu ya bad idea. Meredith pretty much goes berserk looking for the diary pages of Ali’s that she knows Aria has. She drugs Aria to keep her quiet until Ali comes to Aria in a drug induced dream… at least i think it’s a dream. She warns Aria about Meredith which i think was obvious but since she’s sick I’ll let it slide.
Aria wakes up locked in her room and realizes just how crazy Meredith truly is. She breaks a mirror ( does she really need 7 years of WORSE luck) takes the shard and keeps it with her. When she wakes up she doesn’t have it why you ask? Because Meredith has it standing over Aria… Aria trys to get away but ends up locked in the basement. Emily and Hanna get a little tip and go looking for Aria and who do they find why none other than Meredith who locks them in as well. Of course they get out only to learn that Byron in fact didn’t hurt Ali which is a huge relief to Aria who burns the diary pages wanting to forget that they even exist.
Hanna goes to her interview or what she thinks is her interview only to get trapped and threatened by none other than A Yet she also sees a figure in a red coat hmm Yet A makes a fatal mistake they drop a key.. How could they do that a hole perhaps maybe in their jeans…. Back at Spencer’s she has they key given to her by Hanna of course she puts it in the drawer but wait what else is in that drawer…. WHY TOBY’S RADLEY ID OF COURSE! Meaning he visited Mona while she was at the crazy farm. We move to Toby breaking in to his Girlfriends house weird.. but anyways he goes looking for the key only to find SPENCER! UH OH! She basically breaks down and cries and slaps Toby which he completely deserves. Troian Bellisario the actress who plays Spencer literally blew this and the next couple scenes out of the water! I felt for Spencer of course i probably would have went more berserk than her but kudos to her. Spencer then goes to Toby’s apartment pleading for him to tell her it isn’t true that there is an explanation but he never comes…. Lastly we see Mona in Toby’s place drinking wine smirking. Right now i can think of a few choice words for her but in the end i know karma will get its revenge just as it’s getting on the girls constantly all the time and everywhere. After this episode i need a nap but I’ll remember not to drink the tea…….
