Memory Maker Price Increase

Nothing has been announced by The Walt Disney Travel Company yet, but it’s possible a Memory Maker price increase could be coming.  Based on what we’ve heard, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear of the price of Memory Maker going up soon.

Insides sources are suggesting adding Memory Maker to all packages now to lock in the current price of $169 for advance purchase.  Now, that doesn’t 100% confirm a price increase, but it sounds pretty leading to us!

Memory Maker allows guests visiting The Walt Disney World Resort to have their photos captured by PhotoPass photographers and on select attractions and at select dining locations using their Magic Band or PhotoPass card.  They can then access their photos and videos online and download every single one of them for one price! You can also download the photos of Family & Friends who share media with you. So with just one purchase of Memory Maker, you could get all the Disney PhotoPass photos of everyone in your travel party.

When Memory Maker was first released the advance purchase price was $149.  In December of 2014 that price increased to $169 for the advanced purchase. However, the price was dropped the following December back to $149 for advanced purchase and $169 for immediate use. And then last year, in June of 2017 the price for advanced purchase went back up to $169 and immediate use to $199.

So does that mean we can expect a new price of $179 or even $189 for advanced purchases of Memory Maker to be announced?  Or maybe they are removing the discount for advanced purchase entirely and everyone will pay the $199 no matter when they add it to their package? Those are both speculations as right now nothing has been announced. But we’ve got our (MOUSE) EARS to the ground and we will let you know as soon as we have confirmation!

Are you a fan of Memory Maker?  I know we add it to every trip!  I love it because I don’t have to worry about getting out my camera or phone when my kiddos (who are 2.5 and 5.5 years old) are meeting their favorite characters! I love having all of those memories right at my finger tips!  The attraction photos are pretty neat too – I still have a photo of my son’s first ride on Test Track and I LOVE all of our Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin photos too! And we had an amazing PhotoPass photographer capture my son’s reaction to seeing Storm Troopers for the first time AFTER watching Star Wars – and it was incredible!
