For the first time ever you can now ice skate at Downtown Disney in Disneyland! Visitors of Downtown Disney got to celebrate the grand opening today of the temporary ice rink located near the ESPN Zone.
Normally people do not think of Anaheim, California and ice skating together, but Disney is set to change that with their temporary 77 by 43 feet ice rink that is under a tent. The new rink has a Tinker Bell theme to help Disney promote the new movie in the Fairies series, “Secret of the Wings”, a straight to DVD movie. Disney is also planning on adding a holiday village surrounding the chalet with faux chalets and where seasonal merchandise will be offered.
The rink will be open daily through the first week of January and guests can enjoy ice skating in one-hour sessions. The cost will be $15 for skating and an additional $3 for the skate rental.

How does that fee compare with a local rink? We don’t have ice skating where we live.
