Disney Channel is closing the books on Good Luck Charlie.

creators/executive producers Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen and executive producer Dan Staley,” Disney Channel said in a statement. “The cast and crew are superb, they deserve tribute for their work and we will look forward to the big finale episode the creative team is planning.”

Good Luck Charlie is a show i will always remember. I remember the first promo for it back in 2010 actually! It came out a little after Shake it Up i believe and it was really the first show in a long time that didn’t center around anyone famous or an unrealistic setting. It saddens me that it’s over although all good things must come to an end i suppose. It has been a privilege to watch little Mia grow up on this show and mature. She has grown into a beautiful young girl and i can’t wait to see where life will take her.

Bridget Mendler definitely has a solid career ahead of her whether it’s acting or singing! Jason Dolley is a disney veteran and i’m sure it won’t be the last we will see of him. As for the rest of the amazingly funny cast i wish them the best and can’t wait to see where they go. The only thing bugging me is that we really didn’t get to see baby Toby grow up like we did Charlie. Although i’m sure with Amy and Bob for parents he’ll be an awesome kid!

I’ll miss the antics and my favorite character Ivy but i know that this is the right time to let go. We still have a good ways to go before the last episode airs and the tears start to tumble but always remember everything happens for a reason. Plus this leaves more room for new shows like Girl Meets World and Liv and Maddie!

Currently Good Luck Charlie is filming a crossover episode with Jessie. The cast of Good Luck Charlie is scheduled to attend Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim in August.

Stay tuned for more Disney Channel and…

  1. My 2 y/o has those pants she is wearing in the above pic…I LOVE those jeans! I showed her the episode staring her pants, she kept looking at Charlie like “why are you wearing my pants!” I had to get hers out of the closet…and of course she wanted to wear them! HA!

BTW, they are from Old Navy…so that just let me respect the show a little more for being “down to earth”…no over-priced designer duds there! ; ) haha…goofy, I know…but I got a kick out of it!

  2. This show is so much better than the others Disney has now, like Jessie and Austin and Ally (blech and blech). It’s one that I feel happy to have my children watch because of the funny, real, and yet ultimately wholesome way each episode plays out. My girls are going to be seriously sad. And frankly so will I – because those other awful shows currently playing just are not going to cut it.

  3. I will certainly miss this show. It is one that I watched with my grandchildren and it led us into many dialogues about how to handle life’s problems. I hope that Disney can find another show that will fill the “ordinary people” void.
