Frozen’s Idina Menzel and Demi Lovato Face Lawsuit Over Song ‘Let It Go’

Frozen 2 Release Date Announced

It’s definitely one of the catchiest tunes ever but “Let It Go” from Disney’s smash hit Frozen is coming under fire in a new lawsuit filed by a Chilean musician Jamie Ciero who argues that the song bears more than a striking resemblance to his 2008 song “Volar.”

Ciero is suggesting in his lawsuit that similarities can be found in the melodies, lyrics, themes and structures of the two songs and with this in mind is seeking restitution in the form of a share of Frozen’s profits which to date is in excess of $1 billion.
