Unfortunately, in this day and age you can not trust anyone selling tickets, especially on Craigslist. So, if you are trying to buy a cheap ticket and avoid the true prices of tickets to Disneyland or another theme park, please be careful. It seems lately there have been more scams and arrests made than any other time, including the recent arrest of Raymond John Lim. Police suspect Lim and his brother, Michael King Lim, who is still at large, of together selling $40,000 in counterfeit theme park tickets.
The brothers allegedly manufactured and sold fake tickets for theme parks throughout Southern California, including Disneyland.
The Lims are accused of posting ads on Craigslist and then they would meet the potential buyers (victims) at locations around Southern California and selling either fake tickets or copies of real ones.
Police received reports of more than 10 victims complaints that they had purchased these tickets and were not able to use at the appropriate park for admission. The police then set up a sting operation and arranged to meet Raymond Lim where they arrested him and have him in jail facing forgery and counterfeiting charges.
