Epcot Food and Wine Festival Highlights According to Jess

I recently attended the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot and I have to say this.  IT. WAS. AWESOME!

For those that have never been the Food and Wine Festival highlights foods and drinks from around the world. There are nearly thirty unique kiosks set up around the World Showcase Lagoon for your touring pleasure. There are also seminars, demonstrations, and a special Eat to the Beat Concert Series.

We spent nearly three days at Food and Wine and we were able to sample food and drink at nearly every booth. I was blown away by the quality of the food and even though had been to the festival before, was able to try many new things. I highly suggest planning a trip around this event.  Some of my favorite things were the Swedish Meatballs from Scandinavia, The Chicken with Macaroni from France washed down with an Eiffel Sour Cosmo Slush, The Griddled Greek Cheese with Pistachios and Honey in Greece, the grilled beef skewer with chimichuri sauce in Argentina and The Dark Chocolate Mousse with Chili and Salted Caramel at the Dessert booth. You seriously cannot imagine how good that mousse was! I was a skeptic, but the combination of flavors was out of this world!

When the sun got too hot we headed to the festival center in The Wonders of Life Pavilion in Future World. This building houses many of the seminars along with the festival wine shop and the Ghiradelli Chocolate Experience booth. However, I was there for another reason. Located just off the Ghiradelli booth is the entrance to the Chase Lounge. This lounge is open to all Chase card holders and luckily I had my card at the ready! This was a great chance to score some free drinks of the non alcoholic variety and sit out of the sun. We even watched a little TV.

Upon leaving the lounge I took a moment to browse the chocolate sculptures that decorated the Ghiradelli booth. These were astounding and certainly worth checking out. They were all Disney themed of course!

We had the best time at Food and Wine and hope to return  next year! Though it was a lot warmer and more crowded than we would have liked, we were able to experience everything we had planned and then some!

  1. Weekdays are way less busy than weekends but even Friday and Saturday weren’t too busy depending on the booth. I loved the cheese bread from Poland and the escargot from France. I was also so happy that the Dragonberry Colada from the Caribbean was back. Who doesn’t like an alcoholic shake?
