Disney’s Broadway-bound Frozen Musical to Have Trial Run in Denver

Though seemingly far removed from the glitz and glamour of Broadway, Disney’s latest stage musical will begin a trial-run at Buell Theatre in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts from August 17 – October 1, 2017.

The latest offering from Disney Theatrical is a full-length stage adaptation of the much loved film Frozen.  The Broadway version promises to add more depth to the story-lines  and characters and will feature new songs and details added in by the film’s original creators.

As productions prepare to for their debut on the Great White Way, it is not uncommon for them to first go through workshops and rehearsals outside of New York.   This allows the creative team to make any final tweaks or adjustments before starting a long Broadway run.

From a tweet sent out by Denver Center for the Performing Arts earlier this week it looks like preparations are well underway for the August 17th opening of Frozen.

Tickets for Frozen went on sale May 1st at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. At this stage there are only a limited number of seats available.  Disney fans looking to take a sneak peak at this exciting new musical should contact the box office directly to discuss options.
