Disneyland has a new show in the works based on its upcoming animated feature, “The Princess and the Frog,” which opens Dec. 11 and is already being promoted through lobby displays at Inland movie theaters.

“Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee” premieres Nov. 6 and runs daily through Jan. 3. Florida’s Walt Disney World will also have it, according to park publicists.

Tiana is the main character in “The Princess and the Frog,” set in New Orleans’ French Quarter. Anika Noni Rose, a Tony Award winner for “Caroline, or Change,” provides the voice in the film, and other vocal talents include Oprah Winfrey and Terrence Howard. The score is by Randy Newman.

The cast of “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee” includes characters from the movie. It begins with a Mardi Gras-style parade through New Orleans Square. Performers then board the Mark Twain riverboat with specially selected park guests.

The boat will stop near the entrance to “Pirates of the Caribbean,” where spectators can watch the show.
