As Disney gets ready for the 60th anniversary celebration at Disneyland, the park will be closing early on some nights. Leading up to the 24-hour party on May 22nd, Disneyland will close at 7:30 pm on seven weekdays, with an eighth and last one being May 21st at 6 pm.
To compensate for closing early on those days, the park will open earlier, at 8 or 9 am. Some guests might need to wake up a little earlier in order to maximize their visit.
Disney did not give a specific reason for the early closures but there are rumors that they will be test-running a new attraction, allowing exclusive nighttime visits for high school seniors, and providing time for cast members to get a sneak peak of the changes.
Disneyland will be unveiling a new parade and fireworks show at the kickoff of the anniversary celebration on May 22nd.
