On Feb. 9, Disney VoluntEARS hosted the Disney Kids and Families Zone at the 19th annual “Mardi Paws”-themed Paws in the Park event at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando. Partnering with the SPCA of Greater Orlando and Disney’s Animal Programs, Disney VoluntEARS assisted Guests at three interactive stations and in meeting our very own Pluto.
The Disney Kids and Families Zone was an interactive way to educate children on how to be compassionate pet owners. Kids learned about pet care and safety, how to make dog toys from everyday household items, and ways to explore and get outdoors with their family and pets.
The Disney Dogs (and Families) and Disney FinancEARS packs have supported Paws in the Park for more than a decade. This year they continued to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals by helping to raise more than $19,000.
Thank you to the Disney VoluntEARS who donated their time to make Central Florida a better place.
