Unfortunately, I had a few clients that had to reschedule their Disney World Vacations due to Hurricane Irma. When I went into their My Disney Experience accounts to reselect their FastPasses for their new travel dates, I found the work had pretty much been down for me.

Disney has given guests affected by Hurricane Irma “Multiple Experience” FastPasses. These FastPasses are offered to guests who moved their original reservation within the 60-day FastPass window. They allow guests to take advantage of their previous selections with no time window. That means if your previous FastPass was reserved for 10 am to 11 am, you now would have all day to use it. Guests affected by the storm have received this email:

“Hello and thank you for planning to visit the Walt Disney World® Resort. We are excited for your visit! We would like to share that replacement FastPass+ selections have been added to your MyDisneyExperience account due to the inclement weather approaching the Central Florida area.”

“These replacement Fastpass+ selections will allow you and your original traveling party to experience the same attractions that were selected prior to modifications to your resort reservation. As an added bonus, the replacement Fastpass+ selections will be valid for your length of stay with us and will not be bound by any specific timeframe as is traditionally the policy with our Fastpass service. Please log on to your MyDisneyExperience account to view these changes.”

I can honestly say that Disney has been super accommodating during Hurricane Irma and it’s aftermath. Disney lifted their no pet policy and allowed pets to stay at resorts during the storm. They also opened their parking lots and resorts to utility workers from across the country to get Central Florida’s power back on. Helping with these FastPasses is just another way Disney has gone above and beyond to help people affected by Irma’s wrath.
