Beauty and the Beast fans will want to start making those travel plans as Disney recently announced a special one-weekend-only concert performance of this much-loved classic fairytale at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, May 25th and Saturday, May 26th, 2018.
Zooey Deschanel (Belle), Kelsey Grammer (Lumiere), Taye Diggs (Gaston), Rebel Wilson (Le Fou), Jane Krakowski (Mrs. Potts) and Anthony Evans (Beast) will head up an all-star cast of performers singing songs from the Oscar and Grammy-winning score accompanied by a full live orchestra while the Disney animated film plays on the Bowl’s movie screen.
In addition, live scenery will be projected onto the facade of the iconic Hollywood Bowl making the event immersive. This special event will also include a costume contest, photo opportunities and other magical surprises.
Conductor Michael Kosarin will be leading the full orchestra and choir performing the film’s classic score including much-loved numbers like “Be Our Guest,” “Gaston,” and “Belle.”
Doors for the event will open at 6:45 pm with the concerts beginning at 8:15 pm. Tickets for this event go on sale on Friday, March 16th at 10am Pacific Standard time and can be purchased at https://www.ticketmaster.com/venueartist/90150/960183.
