Herb Ryman was a Disney artist and Imagineer. He began his Disney career working on the design of Disneyland where he created concept art for Main Street USA, Sleeping Beauty Castle, New Orleans Square, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates Of The Caribbean. He officially retired in 1971 after Magic Kingdom opened but he returned in 1976 to help with Epcot. He created renderings for the American Adventure,the China Pavilion in World Showcase, Living with the Land, Horizons, and Spaceship Earth.

Concept art of The Living Seas. Artist: Tim Delaney (1981)

Tim Delaney was a WDI Imagineer with his first major work was on on Epcot’s Living Seas. Later on he would contribute to Discoveryland at Disneyland Paris. The artwork above depicts the “outside” of Sea Base Alpha from the perspective of the divers.

Concept art of the Mexico Pavilion. Artist: Collin Campbell (1979)

Disney Legend Collin Campbell built models and sets for It’s a Small World, and designed concept art for the Carousel of Progress. He also developed Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland and helped design the fabled Club 33, for which he hand-painted a scene of the Mississippi River and Jackson Square on the inside lid of Lillian Disney’s harpsichord.
