Right now they are stage 4 of the Beta testing of the Magic Bands and I have heard “rumors” that they should be completely rolled out by the end of the year.

Disney FASTPASS service has always been a great way to enjoy Walt Disney World attractions with little or no wait. Soon, FastPass+ service will let you also reserve access to entertainment, Character Greetings and viewing areas for parades and fireworks before you leave home. They have even rolled out FastPass+ for some dining and I have reservations for that Illuminations on my upcoming trip and will let you know how it goes.

FastPass+ service offers more than twice as many experiences as before—and you can even use the mobile app to make changes on the go!

As of right now the FastPass+ allows you to make 3 FastPass+ reservations, but they give a bonus 4th one most of the time. It will choose the time for you FastPass+, but you can go back in and make changes.

If I don’t own a smartphone can I still have a traditional Fastpass ? what to do, any suggestions, thanks! 🙂

Im going to be so sad if we dont get to do fastpass+ I assume you have to get the bands in order to get FP+?

I’m DVC staying at Bay Lake Tower and I got an email inviting me to get the wristbands. And I got this email about 25 days from my arrival and got the bands in the mail 20 days before arrival. I was signed up for My Disney Experience and I connected all of my reservations and my AP. My situation is a little weird too. I have an AP from last year I am using for this trip but they shipped me 2 bands and we haven’t bought my husband’s ticket yet (which is really cool!) Im still 19 days away but I am fighting the urge to wear my band everyday.

We are here now at Pop Century and love ease the wristbands give you. It was fun choosing our fastpasses before arriving and having the app on our phones help us remember thoughs plans. Haven’t used them for shows yet but we still have three day of parks left and have reserved show on our pass+. We are pleased so far we this experience and look forward for the remaining days here at WDW.
