Chef Art Smith Hosted First Homecomin' Saturday Night Shine

Chef Art Smith hosted the first Saturday Night Shine event on April 7th at his Homecomin’ Florida Kitchen in Disney Springs.  This all-new weekly event runs late nights from 10:00pm-1:00am.  Here is our review from opening night.

RSVP’s for Homecomin’ Saturday Night Shine were available through Eventbrite.  If you wanted to have guaranteed seating, you could book a table reservation.  Upon arrival, we noticed some tables had signs stating, “Reserved for VIP Late Night Moonshiners.”  Our reservation was for 10:55pm.  Due to a crazy storm that went through prior to the event, causing many people to leave Disney Springs, we were able to be seated at a table on the screened porch overlooking the open-air bar at 9:40pm.

The first, up to 250 people to arrive with Eventbrite confirmations, were given these fun t-shirts.

The After Dark Menu is available at 10:00pm and features many of the popular appetizers.  The Church Lady Deviled Eggs are a must!

For opening night, cocktails were $10 rather than the typical $12.  We were brave enough to try each one.  We were a party of 4 and we each had a different favorite amongst the four choices.  If you enjoy a good Margarita then you will want to try the Moonshine Margarita.  For Tea lovers, the Sweet Tea Shine will be right up your alley.  Looking for something a little bit sweeter?  Then the Blue Hooch with Blue Flame Moonshine is sure to make you smile with its citrus flavors.  The Rumshine Punch was the strongest drink.  Be careful with this one because it goes down a bit too easy.

Chef Art Smith was our Celebrity Bartender for the evening.  See our video of him serving up the cocktails here:

Our Server Ana was very attentive.  She took great care of us and was very helpful with her knowledge of the menu.  The food here is fabulous.  We highly recommend the Church Lady Deviled Eggs as well as the Moon Pies & Moonshine.

Chef Art Smith was our Host for the evening.  He graciously visited each table and greeted every guest.  We love his Southern Hospitality and his Charming Demeanor.

Each Saturday evening will feature Live Bands, Late Night Menu and Specialty Drinks.  Looking for an evening out during your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Springs?  Be sure to stop by Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Florida Kitchen for their Saturday Night Shine.
