So you’re at WDW – and you’ve spent all morning riding your favorite rides and rubbing elbows with your favorite characters – and suddenly you look at your watch and realize – its LUNCHTIME! Not only that, but you also realize you are STARVING. While eating the first thing you see might seem tempting, I suggest you play it smart and head to these top 5 Disney World Lunch Spots instead:

Flame Tree BBQ: You can smell the barbeque well before you approach the (usually long) line at this popular Animal Kingdom lunch spot – an enticing smoky-sweet scent that beckons to you and whispers “come over here and eat me!”. And who am I to ignore the call of the BBQ Gods? Tear into some truly delicious BBQ – chicken, ribs, pulled pork – all come highly rated and you won’t be disappointed with any of them. There are a couple of salads and sandwiches on the menu as well for those looking for something smaller or less meaty – but let’s be real, the real attraction here is the MEAT!
Top Meal Choice: The BBQ Ribs/Chicken combo (it’s big enough to share – if you’re willing!)

PizzeRizzo: This is a fairly new addition to the list of Hollywood Studios dining spots, it replaced Toy Story Pizza Planet, and while it has been re-imagined, it is still serving up a similar menu – comprised mostly of pizza (duh) – cheese, veggie, pepperoni, and meat lover’s varieties are all served up here, along with assorted drinks (including bellinis, beer, and wine!), and kids size versions too, of course. Is it the best pizza ever? Probably not – but it’s fast, easy, and tastes good, plus – pizza is a crowd pleaser, everyone likes it, and kids will love having their own mini pizza all to themselves – and anyone with kids can tell you that that’s a win for everyone involved
Top Meal Choice: PIZZA, of course!

Sunshine Seasons: Whenever I am in Epcot this is my go to lunch spot for sure – they offer such a great variety of freshly made items that not only will you find something for everyone here, but you will have a hard time deciding between all the amazing options! From rotisserie chicken, to salads (made with produce grown right there in The Land!), to fresh soups and mouthwatering desserts – it really is a great place for lunch (or dinner, or breakfast for that matter!)
Top Meal Choice: The Power Salad – which features chicken, quinoa, and almonds with a delicious honey vinaigrette

La Cantina De San Angel: This waterside spot is located in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion and it serves up some pretty authentic Mexican grub: Tacos with fish, chicken, or beef, cheese empanadas, nachos, guacamole, and the kicker – some amazing margaritas. So if you want to relax by the water and enjoy an amazing drink and some delicious food, then this is the perfect lunch spot for you
Top Meal Choice: Margaritas all around! Wait – that’s not a meal? Ok then – the fish tacos are amazing (esp when paired with a margarita!)

Columbia Harbour House: Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom is home to this nautical themed spot, where you can dine on New England style clam chowder, fried shrimp, grilled salmon, and some amazing sandwiches (tuna or hummus). Chicken pot pie and chicken nuggets are also available for those who aren’t big seafood fans. The cheesy décor is great, as is the fact that there’s a ton of seating upstairs – which is a perfect spot to do some people watching while you eat
Top Meal Choice: The Lighthouse Sandwich – hummus plus crispy slaw on a nice seedy multigrain bread

What about you – do you like to hit up these restaurants for lunch, or do you have another Disney Dining spot you prefer?
